Introducing Kiana Cummings…..

When we choose the women who are showing off our new collection to you, it’s always vital that they live an active, healthy lifestyle. For spring, step in Kiana Cummings – Londoner, skateboarder and Pharmacology graduate who is on hand with all your styling inspiration this season.

Describe yourself in three words?

Resilient, funny and rational.

How did you get into modelling?

I signed with my agency after attending walk ins.

Where do you live in the world?

I’m a Londoner, born and bred.

3 tips for staying balanced?

Eat well, do what you love and take time for yourself.

When do you feel best in yourself?

When I’m rocking my afro. I love my natural hair.

What does female empowerment mean to you?

Supporting, encouraging and celebrating all things women and making sure marginalised groups are given room to be seen and heard.

What would you say to your younger self?

Everything takes time, trust in the process and enjoy the journey.

How do you live an active lifestyle?

I like doing resistance body weight workouts at home, I also like cruising on my skateboard when I have the time, I take it everywhere.

Life mantra?

I love a quote by André Gide – ‘Man cannot discover new oceans unless he first has the courage to lose sight of the shore’.

Favourite workout?

Donkey kicks and variations of, they’re so good for toning the butt.

Life mantra?

It changes from time to time but right now I’m going with “If it doesn’t spark joy, throw it out”, from the great Marie Kondo.

Can you tell us about one woman that’s inspired you?

My mother. She moved to London from Guyana just shy of 30 years ago and it amazes me how much she’s achieved through sheer hard work and determination. If I can be half of the woman she is I’ll be beyond content.

Guilty pleasure?

Doughnuts, as long as they’re not custard filled.

Green juice or cocktails?

Cocktails.

What’s been your proudest moment to date?

Graduating from King’s College with a Bachelor’s in Pharmacology.

How do you switch off?

I put on my favourite RnB, jazz and rap playlist on Spotify and start singing along.

What’s your favourite piece from the shoot?

I love the bum-sculpting Zero Gravity Leggings, it’s inevitable that you feel good when you look good and that extends to when working out.

What would you be doing if you weren’t modelling?

I’d probably be at university still because I love the structure of education and learning; and if not that, I’d definitely be working around the music scene.
