Five Things You Need To Know About Paula Knorr AW18 ~ Hunger TV
Paula Knorr pulled out all the stops for Autumn Winter 2018: a sensually powerful collection, it was full of body hugging lamé and seductive sparkles. The intricacy of the designs is apparent in Knorr’s signature cutting methods: they “transform evening dresses into comfortable yet powerful designs”. With clashing fabrics and dramatic shapes, the AW18 looks drastically push the boundaries of evening wear into abstract realms, all the while keeping the looks as glitzy and glamourous as Hollywood’s elite.
From emblazoning flares with an abundance of sequins to layering block colour on block colour fearlessly, the collection was vibrant and unforgiving. It stood proud against the sparkling backdrop and glimmered in the dazzling light. To bring it all together, Paula Knorr collaborated with experimental Jazz singer Laura Totenhagen who set feminist poetry to music, using her voice and a loop pedal, it was an exceptionally atmospheric experience.
With the colour of the day definitely being red, and sequins being the decoration of choice, the show brought forward some clear trends and there ones you’ll want to wear over and over again. So here are HUNGER’s 5 things you for sure need to know about Paula Knorr AW18…
