#Empowered ~ Eva Peron
The second wife of Argentine President Juan Peron, Maria Eva Duarte served as the First Lady of Argentina from 1946 until her death in 1952. Athough her leadership styles were questioned and criticized in Argentine at the time, she notably helped pioneer Argentina’s feminist movement. As a result of her campaigning, in the late ‘40s, Eva founded the Female Peronist Party which granted women the right to attend university, as well as the right to vote.
